Automation logic withheld braking for nine seconds as Lufthansa Flight 2904 overran the runway at Warsaw
Lufthansa Flight 2904's A320 landed fast at Warsaw on 14 September 1993 and its air-to-ground logic withheld spoilers and reversers for about nine seconds; it overran into an embankment, killing 2 of 70 aboard. Polish investigators blamed crew decisions and cited the braking logic as contributory.
